Richard J. Dick Sanderson

Richard J. Sanderson, age 86, of Perrysburg, Ohio passed away on July 19, 2018 at Perrysburg Commons. He was born August 5, 1931 to George and Sylvia (LaForest) Sanderson. Richard graduated from Rossford High School. Dick was self employed as a salesman and also worked at Haughton Elevator. He was a proud boat captain for charter boats and an avid golfer in his younger years, and even got 2 holes-in-one! He enjoyed fishing, carpentry, Jazz music, and his late wifes cooking. Dick is survived by his children, Julie (Harry) Wood, Michael (Suzanne) Sanderson, Laurie (Marty) Dauer; grandchildren, Lindsay (Kevin), Kelly (Gregg), Katie, Betsie (Younes); great-grandchildren, Waylon, Duncan, Nizar, Bear, Tahira; sister, Kay Reeves; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Carol; daughter, Christine Sanderson; and grandson, Brandon Wood. The family would like to give special thanks to Heartland Hospice, especially Shawna and Michelle, and special friend, Mary Ellen Hartman. The funeral services will be private.
