Richard R. Reeder

Richard Roy Reeder, 85, of Genoa, passed away on Friday, January 7, 2022. He was born in Toledo to Raymond and Eda (Schissler) Reeder on June 5, 1936. He married his beloved wife, Marilyn Joyce (Graybill) Reeder, in 1958. Richard was a dedicated and hardworking man who devoted his entire life to farming. He was a member of St. John’s United Church of Christ from his youth, an avid reader, and cherished his family. Richard is survived by his wife, Marilyn, children, Terry Reeder, Richard Reeder, and Kenneth Reeder, three grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his sister, June Bargar and his brother, Dale Reeder. A celebration of Richard’s life will be planned in the near future. Currently, a graveside service open to family and friends will take place at Clay Township Cemetery on Thursday, January 13, 2022, at 11:30 am. Memorial contributions in Richard’s name may be made to St. John’s UCC of Genoa.
