Richard G Ramlow, Sr.

Richard Gerard Ramlow, Sr., age 82, of Maumee, OH passed away Friday, January 30, 2009 at Parkcliffe Community Care Center, surrounded by his loving family. He was born June 15, 1926 in Maumee to Bernard and Marie Aigrisse Ramlow. Richard attended Maumee High School and served his country in the U.S. Air Force during WWII. He was a Lineman and Foreman with Toledo Edison for 40 years, retiring in 1986. Richard enjoyed golfing with his buddies on Wednesday afternoons. He was a charter member of the Maumee Eagles #2562 of which he was a trustee for many years. Richard was a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Maumee and a member of the Maumee American Legion Post # 320 for many years. Richard is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Bess Phipps Ramlow; three sons, Michael Tish, Patrick Jo and Richard Jr. Linda; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; sisters, Bernice Bob McIntyre and Joyce Garvin and many nieces and nephews. Family and friends may visit Monday from 2-8 p.m. in the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home and Crematory, 501 Conant Street, Maumee where the members of the Maumee Eagles will lead a service at 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Maumee.
