Richard Oliver Power, age 87, went to be with his wife, JoAnn in heaven on April 7, 2021. Richard was born to Robert and Olive Power in Toledo, OH on June 8, 1933. He was an avid lottery player and appeared on the Cash Explosion show 8 times. He worked for many years and eventually retired as a Brakeman for CSX Railroad. In his younger years, he proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. Surviving are his stepdaughters, Karen Dixon and Kathy Taylor; grandchildren, Danny Dixon (Hazel), Anthony Taylor, Angela Taylor, and Sarah Taylor; great-grandchildren, Caleb Dixon, Caitlynn Dixon, Jordan Brown, and Lucas Heminger; sister, Gert Everhardt; special nephew, Robert Power; and numerous other beloved nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death is his wife of 57 years, JoAnn Power; sisters, Clara Dombrowski, Marybelle Breier, Virginia Lupton, Georgetta Power; brothers, Robert Power and John Power; and his nieces, Fayellen Dombrowski and Sue Ann Fowler. Richard’s family will receive friends during a time of visitation on Monday, April 12, 2021 beginning at 10AM until the time of the Funeral Service at 12PM at the Walker Funeral Home – Oregon Chapel (3500 Navarre Ave., Oregon, OH 43616). Internment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Legion or to the VFW Post 4906.
