Richard J Dick Palmer

Richard J. Dick Palmer, age 69, of Maumee, Ohio passed away on Thursday, September 28, 2017 at St. Lukes Hospital, Maumee, Ohio. He was born on May 22, 1948 in Saginaw, Michigan to Gilbert Palmer and Ruth (Hopkins) Kubica and was a graduate of Start High School. Dick worked in many different areas at Libbey Glass before retiring after 39 years. He was a Michigan Wolverines fan, enjoyed cooking and volunteering at the Maumee Eagles, Maumee American Legion and at the Heatherdowns Country Club. After 16 years, Dick recently just finished refurbishing his 1969 Dodge Dart Swinger. Dick is survived by his loving wife, Donna; children, Jason (Tammy), Eric (Emily), Ryan and Ann (Josh Hall) Palmer; grandchildren, Cody, Amber, Camron, Tessa, Emma, Julia and Tanner; step-sister, ChiChi (Chet) Gorski; nephews, Joey and Ricky Roth and nieces, Susan and Sharon. He was preceded in death by his mother, Ruth, step-father, Chet Kubica and siblings, Ron Sr., Sandra and nephew, Ron Jr. Visitation will be held from 3-8 on Sunday, October 1, 2017 at the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant Street, Maumee, Ohio. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am on Monday, October 2, 2017 in the funeral home. Interment will follow at Highland Memory Gardens, Waterville, Ohio.
