Richard C. Rick Orner

Richard “Rick” C. Orner, 60, of Sylvania, Ohio passed away suddenly on October 6, 2015. He was born on March 24, 1955 in Wauseon, Ohio to Charlie C. and Elizabetha M. (Javanovic) Orner and he married Lori A. Weber on July 17, 1988 in Toledo. Rick worked as a machine journeyman and later as a sales engineer for various businesses, but he was looking forward to retirement. He was extremely artistic and creative, always planning a new project. He was a jack of all trades. Rick remodeled and customize cars, go-carts and golf carts. His family was the center of his universe. He was always bringing people together and wouldn’t hesitate to drop everything to help someone. Rick is survived by his loving wife, Lori A. Orner; children, Kelly M. (Steven) Warner, Ricki-Lee M. (Jeremy) Fountain, Richard J. Orner, Vanessa E Orner and Brandi M. (Tom) Markwood; grandchildren, Aiden, Kaia and Logan Warner, Brooklynn, Braden and Brealeigh Fountain and Gabrielle Orner, Morgan LaRock and Callie Markwood; siblings, Sylvia Tomblin, Karl (Rose) Orner, Janet Davis, Jack (Camille) Orner, Veronica (Ed) Jackson, Susan (Roland) Giers, Ronnie Orner, Randy (Anita) Orner and Jeff (Patti) Orner, He is preceded in death by his parents. Friends will be received on Sunday, October 11, 2015 from 1:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. in the Neville Funeral Home, Southwest Chapel, 7438 Airport Highway, Holland, Ohio 43528 (419-865-8879) where funeral services will be held following the visitation at 7:00 P.M. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to The American Legion, The Great Holland Post 646, 1074 Clarion Holland, Ohio 43528.
