Richard G. Dick Nietz

Richard G. “Dick” Nietz, age 79, of Walbridge, passed away on Thursday, December 7, 2017 at Genesis Healthcare Perrysburg Center. Dick was born on August 23, 1938 to Harold and Margaret “Tops” (Rideout) Nietz in Walbridge. He married Kay (Tesch) Nietz on October 7, 1972 in Toledo and she survives. Dick was a Laborer for the Schmidt Automotive Group for 37 years. He was a member of Moline United Methodist Church and the Wood County Farm Council. Left to cherish Dick’s memory are his loving wife, Kay; sons, David (Erin) Nietz, and Michael Nietz; and grandchildren, AnnMarie, Sally and Matthew Nietz. Friends will be received on Tuesday, December 12, 2017 from 2:00-8:00 p.m at the Witzler-Shank Funeral Home, 701 N. Main St. Walbridge, Ohio (419-666-3121). Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at 11:00 am. in the funeral home. Burial will follow at Lake Township Cemetery, Millbury, Ohio. (The family will also hold a memorial service at a later date, when Kay’s health has improved.) Memorials may be directed to Moline UM Church, or Wood Lane Special Olympics.
