Richard Joseph Neuman

Richard Joseph Rick Neuman, age 60, died July 8, 2017 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Rick was born January 17, 1957 in Toledo to the late Richard and Marjorie (Marry) Neuman. He attended Christ the King School and graduated from Whitmer High School in 1975. Rick also attended Penta Vocational School and earned a certificate in auto repair. He was employed for more than 18 years with Schutz Container Systems. Rick loved antiques, classic cars and NASCAR, enjoyed attending car shows, fishing, hiking and camping. He found his greatest joy in time spent with his grandchildren and will be remembered for his great sense of humor. He looked like Chuck Norris and had a personality like Jeff Foxworthy. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 18 years, Judy Ann (Weatherford) Neuman; children, Brad Sothen, Joshua Neuman, Jessica Neuman (Harrison), Ashley Garza (Gabriel) and Samantha Neuman; grandchildren, Aiden, Arianna and Aaliyah; siblings, Mary Lee Neuman, Ron Neuman (Karen) and Molly Wysowaty (Duane); nephew, Ryan Wysowaty; nieces, Veronica and Sharon Neuman. He was also preceded in death by his niece, Amanda Wysowaty. Visitation will be Monday from 2-8 p.m. in the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 Sylvania Ave. (west of Corey Rd.) where a scripture service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Funeral services will begin with prayers in the funeral home at 9:30 a.m., Tuesday, July 11, 2017 and proceed to Christ the King Catholic Church, 4100 Harvest Lane, for 10:00 a.m. funeral Mass. Memorials are suggested to St. Judes Childrens Hospital.
