Richard Morris Anderson

Richard M. Anderson, age 76, passed away Friday July 15, 2016 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio. The son of Walter and Miriam, he was born July 25, 1939 in Steubenville, OH. In his childhood, he was active in Boy Scouts eventually earning his Eagle Scout. He served in the United States Coast Guard. He attended Michigan Tech. Dick owned Convoy Trailer Systems, which dealt with trailer and large equipment hauler sales/rentals. He was a 50 year member of Freemasonry, belonging to Samaria Lodge 438 F & AM as well as the Zenobia Shrine where he was a past director for the Zenobia Shrine Highlanders. Dick was also a member of the Lucas County Sheriffs Pipes and Drums, the Toledo Yacht Club serving on the Mills Trophy Race Committee, and the American Legion. Dick loved sailing and working on his sailboat. He is survived by his children, Eric, Heather and Sean Anderson; grandson, Logan; cousin, Don (Debbie) Pohlig. Friends may visit the family on Saturday July 23, 2016 from 2-7 PM at Walker Funeral Home 5155 Sylvania Ave where at 7pm a Masonic and memorial service will take place followed by military honors.
