Richard Jeffrey Moore, 57, of Bowling Green, Ohio, passed away at his home on Sunday, June 19, 2016, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on April 11, 1959 in Washington D.C. to Dana Myrle and Erma Jean (Hensley) Moore and he married Christine Marie Delgado on September 21, 1985 in Los Angeles, California. Richard proudly served his country in the United States Navy where he was an engineer as well as a firefighter. He received his Master’s Degree in Theology from Liberty College and later was an intern Pastor at various churches Ohio. Richard volunteered teaching students how to read. He enjoyed collecting baseball, football cards and matchbox cars with his son. Richard also deeply cared about the welfare of animals, especially his beloved dog, Bella. Richard is survived by his loving wife, Christine M. Moore; daughters, Melody (Christopher) Knighton and Samantha Moore; brothers, Mark (Hope) Moore, Dave (Deborah) Moore and Joe (Angela) Moore; mother-in-law, Linda Delgado; sister-in-law, Cathy Delgado. He is preceded in death by his parents, Dana and Erma; son, Richard J. Moore, II “Ricky”; sister, Margret Dodd; brother, Michael Moore. A Celebration of Richard’s Life will be at 11:00 AM on Friday, June 24, 2016 in Witzler-Shank Funeral Home, 222 East South Boundary St, Perrysburg, Ohio 43551 (419-874-3133).
