Richard E. Manion

Manion age 56 of Maumee passed away on Wednesday December 31, 2008 at The Cleveland Clinic surrounded by his loving family. Rick was born in Toledo, OH on April 20, 1952 to Harold and Barbara Rumpf Manion. He was a 1970 graduate of Bowsher High School and received his degree in Criminal Justice from Owens College. Rick was a Security Systems Coordinator for 28 years at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center. He was active in Maumee Little League and Life Connection of Ohio. Rick was an avid Notre Dame fan, loved bowling and animals. He often supported many charities especially charities involving animals. He is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Diane Manion; daughter, Heather Manion; son, Shawn Manion Brittany Staten; sister, Mary Jo Ballert and many cousins, nieces and nephews. His parents; brother, Mike Manion and a sister, Marcia Shavalia preceded him in death. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, January 31, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. in Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, Toledo.
