Richard M. Anderson

Richard M. Anderson, 74, of Walbridge, OH passed away Thursday, January 20, 2022 at Bay Park Community Hospital.  He was born on May 4, 1947 in Toledo, OH to Louis A. and Irene M. (Karpinski) Anderson.  On June 3, 1989 in Perrysburg, OH he married Sharon Bruhn, and she survives.  Richard owned and operated Anderson Truck & Trailer Co. for over 25 years.  Prior to that he worked as a steel hauler for Carriers for many years.  Richard was proud to be elected to serve as Commodore of Nugent’s Canal Yacht Club in 1998, where he was a longtime member and served on the board of directors.  Richard enjoyed going to auctions and buying things and going out to eat.  He loved his dogs, Max, Lexi, and pups, Isabelle and Harley.  Richard was known for his candor and dry sarcasm, which was appreciated by others because he was honest and said what he thought.

In addition to his loving wife Sharon (Hurst) Anderson of over 32 years, Richard is survived by his children, Ronda Anderson, Renee Anderson, Rachael (Joe) Balcewicz, Michael Anderson, stepchildren, Dawn (Larry) Walters, Deanna (Don) Newbury, and Gregory (Teri) Hurst, 8 grandkids, 6 great grandkids, and his siblings, Louis Anderson, Joanne Litwin, and Helen (Gary) Stanton.  He was preceded in death by his parents, first wife, Roxa (Nelson) Anderson, grandson, Alex Sabatino, and siblings, Rosemary Wylie, Carolyn Krispin, John Anderson, Tom Anderson, Don Anderson, James Anderson, and Irene Anderson.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, January 25, 2022 from 2-8 p.m., with family present from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m., at the Sujkowski-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, 830 Lime City Rd., Rossford, OH, where funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, January 26, 2022 at 1:00 p.m.   Burial will follow in Lake Township Cemetery.  Memorial contributions in memory of Richard may be given to the Lucas County Canine Care & Control, 410 S.
