Richard Emery Lowe 1938 - 2015 Richard Emery Lowe, 76, of Port Clinton, Ohio passed away Monday, October 19, 2015. Richard, better known as Whitey, was born at home on November 23, 1938 in Port Clinton to Mary (Hathaway) Lowe and Emery O. Lowe. Whitey graduated from Port Clinton High School in 1957. He served his community on the reserve police force, as the assistant fire chief, and was the first rescue squad captain and EMT of the Port Clinton EMS. He was a proud member of the Elk’s and enjoyed golfing with fellow members. He owned and operated Shell gas stations in Port Clinton, and later owned and operated the Lowe Oil Company out of Port Clinton, Sandusky, and Fremont. He completed his delivery career as the Fremont-area Lowe’s Home Improvement driver before retirement. Whitey loved building hot rods and racing, and enjoyed all Cleveland and OSU sports. Above all, he was a loving husband of 55 years and proud father of his three sons. Light of his life were his twin granddaughters. Richard is survived by his wife Judith (Limestahl) Lowe and sons John Lowe, Dean Lowe and his wife Wendi and their daughters Abigail and Elizabeth, Marc Lowe and fiancee Betsy Parish; sisters, Janet (Arthur) Nelson, Alice (Walter) Meier, Sally Ann Lunsford, brother, Bill (Sallye) Lowe, and many nieces and nephews. Preceding Richard in death was his brother, Dennis Lowe. The family acknowledges and thanks Dr. Leonardo Que, and Dr. Brian Murphy
