Richard M Larimer

Richard Myron Larimer, age 90 of Maumee passed away Wednesday September 7, 2016 at his residence with friends and family present. He was born in Spangler PA. on August 31, 1926 to Myron S. and Mary Jane Larimer. A 1944 graduate of Ebensburg High School, he was also an Air Force veteran of World War II. After the war he attended Geneva College and graduated in 1950. Richard began his career with the Boy Scouts of America in 1954. In 1974 he transferred to the International Boy Scouts and was stationed in Geneva, Switzerland. In 1977 he returned to the states and became Scout Executive for the Erie Shores Council of the Boy Scouts of America where he retired in 1988. Richard was an Eagle Scout and the recipient of the St. George Award with Palms. Surviving is his beloved wife of 65 years, Olga; sons Mark and Thomas (Amy) Larimer; grandchildren Francis, Amber, Rich, Kimberly and Kyle; and great-grandchildren Anna and Dave. There will be no visitation and services will be private.
