Richard A. Dick Lardinais

Richard A. “Dick” Lardinais, 82, of Bowling Green, Ohio passed away at his home on Thursday, September 29, 2016 surrounded by his loving family. He was born on May 21, 1934 in Toledo to Arnold and Mabel (Gardner) Lardinais and he married Shirley (Leydorf) Leslie on August 23, 1974 in Perrysburg. Dick was a 1952 graduate of Central Catholic High School and he later received his Bachelors of Science degree from the University of Toledo in 1956. He worked as a pharmacist for Hofstetter Drug for many years before eventually purchasing the business and becoming owner. Dick retired in 1997. He was a member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Bowling Green, where he served as an Eucharistic Minister. Dick was also past president of Toledo Academy of Pharmacy, Toledo Drug Club and he served on the University Of Toledo College Of Pharmacy Alumni Association Board Of Directors from 1981 to 1985 as well as receiving the Pharmacist of the Year award in 1974. Dick is survived by his wife, Shirley Lardinais; children, Elizabeth (Jill Siegel) Lardinais, Linda (John Perkovich) Wirtz, Gregory (Deanna) Lardinais, Diane (Frank) Kortgoede and Janet (Wes) Schuster; stepchildren, Angie Mulvaney and Eric Leslie; grandchildren, Brittany Mulvaney, Clayton (Tiffany) and Matthew (Jennifer) Wirtz, Andrew, Aimee and Hayley Lardinais, Dustin (Tracy), Jake, Rick and Alex Schuster and 8 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, his first wife Agnes (Stein) Lardinais; son, Rick Lardinais and sister, Barbara (Harold) Drescher. Family and friends will be received on Tuesday, October 4, 2016 from 3:00 to 8:00 P.M. in the Witzler-Shank Funeral Home, 222 East South Boundary St, Perrysburg, Ohio 43551 (419-874-3133). A scripture service will be held at 7:00 P.M. Visitation will continue on Wednesday, October 5, 2016 from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. in St. Aloysius Catholic Church, 150 S. Enterprise St, Bowling Green, Ohio 43402, followed by a funeral mass at 11:00 A.M. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery, Toledo.
