Richard T. Kovar Sr., age 73, of Toledo, died on Wednesday, April 18, 2012, surrounded by his loved ones. Richard was born In Toledo, on October 17, 1938 to George and Betty Kovar. Richard was employed with the CSX Railroad for over 32 years retiring in 1993 as a railroad clerk. He loved spending time reading scripture, fishing, hunting, bowling, playing Poker and socializing. Richard is preceded in death by his parents; beloved wife, Marilyn A. Kovar “1993', and sisters, Rose, Betty and Dorothy. Surviving are his children, David (Cathy) Ferris, Cindy (Bruce) Janis, Victoria (Ted) Paul, Bethanne (Jeff) Adamczak, Richard (Patricia) Kovar Jr., Thomas Kovar, Stephen (Jennifer) Kovar and Barbara (Donald) Curtis; brother, George Kovar Jr.; 30 grandchildren, and 36 greatgrandchildren. Friends may call at the Hoeflinger-Bolander Funeral Home, 3500 Navarre Ave., Oregon, Ohio from 6:00 pm till 9:00 p.m. on Saturday, and from 2:00 p.m. till 9:00 p.m. Sunday, April 22, 2012. Funeral services on Monday, April 23, 2012, will begin with prayers at the funeral home at 10:00 a.m. followed by his mass of Christian Burial, 11:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
