Richard Earl Knitz, Sr.

Richard Earl Knitz Sr., 87, of Oregon, OH. passed away on Wednesday, July 1, 2015 at St. Charles Hospital. He was born July 21, 1927 to Floyd and Margaret (Munger) Knitz in Toledo. Richard loved fishing, cutting grass, and spending time with family. He was preceded in death by his parents; loving wife, Vera; brother, Harold; sister, Dorothy; and grandson, Kevin. Left to cherish his memory are his sons, Dan (Sandy) and Richard (Linda); 6 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; brother, Maynard (Margaret) and sister, Margaret Bodi. Richard is also survived by his good buddies, Mark Cousino, Jimmy Cousino, and Joe Vargo. Visitation will take place on Sunday, July 5, 2015 from 2 pm to 8 pm at Hoeflinger-Bolander Funeral Home, 3500 Navarre Ave., Oregon, OH 43616.
