Richard D. Ingalsbe (Dick), 96, of Toledo, OH, passed away peacefully on April 7, 2026. He was born June 2, 1929, to John and Florence (Merritt) Ingalsbe.
On October 15, 1948, Richard married his high school sweetheart, Marilyn Ligett. Together, they shared over 77 years of marriage. They immediately started their family of three children, whom he was very proud of.
After retiring from AT&T (Ohio Bell), he had many interests and hobbies. You could always find him tinkering in his basement. Dick enjoyed watching all sports, especially Ohio State football and NASCAR.
Dick and Marilyn loved sailing on their catamaran and camping with their friends, the Jones' and Jewson's.
He is survived by his son, Kent (Karen); daughter, Sheri (Rick); brother-in-law, Mike; daughter-in-law, Pat; grandchildren, Shawn, Tracy (Dennis), Jodi (Rob), Kristi, Jill (Jake), and Stacy (Ashley); 11 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Marilyn; his parents, John and Florence; his son, Steve; his sisters, Lois and Phyliss; and his brother-in-law, Jack.
The family extends their sincere thanks to the staff at Care 360 Hospice and Foundation Park Alzheimer's Care Center for the compassionate care they provided.
Dick was a devoted son, husband, father, brother, grandfather, uncle, and friend who lived a full and active life. He will be missed, loved, and remembered forever.
