Richard Hosman, age 82, passed away October 7, 2008, at The Toledo Hospital. He was surrounded by his loving family as he answered Gods call to come home. Born in Royal Oak, Michigan, to Leo Hosman and Bernadette Sylvestre, he attended the University of Michigan; however his education was interrupted when he enlisted in the U.S. Navy, stationed at The Great Lakes Naval Station in Chicago during World War II. After the war he returned to Michigan and graduated from Western Michigan University. In 1950 he married Margaret Donahue, who survives. Later in life he studied accounting and graduated from the University of Toledo, and became a Certified Public Accountant. He thoroughly loved his private practice and the relationships that he formed with his clients friends. Dick enjoyed golf, fishing, hunting, gardening, and especially spending time with his family and friends. Family vacations in Harbor Springs highlighted each summer. He was a board member of the West Toledo YMCA and the Toledo Animal Shelter, a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church and the Kiwanis Club. Also surviving are his three daughters, Mary Ted Kurt, Ann Jim Worden, and Beth Mark Stutler; grandchildren, Jennifer Dave Grafitti, Jeff Kurt, Maggie and John Rigney, Caitlin, Patrick, and Anna Stutler; great-grand-children Jake and Isabella Grafitti; sisters, Sue Ward, Dorothy Lindquist and Bea Jake Hudson.
