Richard L. Friesel, Jr. “Richie”, age 57, of Maumee, Ohio passed away unexpectedly on Monday, December 30, 2019 at home after a short illness. He was born September 23, 1962 to the late Bertha (Hall) Williamson and the late Richard Friesel. Richie was a long-term resident of the Sunshine Children’s home community. He was employed with Lott Industries for many years in the laundry and mail-room departments as well. There was nothing he loved more than his Michigan Wolverines “Go Blue”, his loved ones, wallets, and his beloved Big Mac and Coke. He always enjoyed the many adventures his mother and himself ventured upon. He is survived by his brothers, James Friesel, Ronald Friesel and Charles (Carrie) Williamson; several nephews and nieces, great-nephews and great-nieces: Uncle(s) Joe Hall and Chuck Hall; cousin, Paula (Hall) Cullum along with numerous other special cousins; and a huge extended family at Sunshine Children’s Home Community. Richard was proceeded in death by both parents, Bertha (Hall) Williamson and Richard Friesel; Grandparents, Charles and Ida Hall; Aunts, Louise (Hall) Pasco, Gail Hall; Uncle, James Hall. Friends may gather from 10:30am to 1:00pm on Thursday, January 2, 2020 at Neville Shank Funeral Home, 7438 Airport Highway, Holland (419)865-8879. A funeral service will be held at 1:00pm, also at Neville-Shank with procession following to Ottawa Hills Memorial Park for burial. The family would like to extend a HUGE Thank you to the Sunshine Children’s Home Community for all the care and love they showed Richie throughout the many years of his residency. Those wishing to make a Memorial Contribution may do so in honor of Richie to Sunshine Children’s Home.
