Richard W. Fought

Richard Ward Fought age 87 of Maumee, Ohio passed away on Wednesday, December 6, 2017 at the Lakes of Monclova. Richard was born in Oak Harbor, OH on January 24, 1930 to Raymond W. and Marna Fought. He owned and operated Fought Mason Contracting for 44 years until his retirement in 1996. Richard was a lifetime member of professional baseball and played with the Cleveland Indians Farm system in 1949-1950. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him. Surviving is his loving wife, Zella Rose (Schiller) Fought; sons, Rick, Randall (Patti) and Ryan Fought; grandchildren, Ross (Michelle) and Ariane (Brad); great-grandchildren, Shiane, Anavay, Eadlyn, great-great-granddaughter, Madelynn and Arialle. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Renee Fought; brother, Don and a sister, Jackie. Family and friends may visit at the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral, 501 Conant St., Maumee on Monday, December 11, 2017 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. Services and interment will be private.
