Richard John Everett

Richard John Everett, age 64, of Maumee, Ohio, passed away on Monday, October 20. 2014 at St. Clare Commons in Perrysburg, Ohio. He was born on June 6, 1950 in Toledo, Ohio to Benjamin and Stella Ann (Wojcik) Everett. Richard served his country in the US Army during the Vietnam War and was a custodian for 30 years at Perrysburg High School. He enjoyed spending time with his daughter Kari and family and friends, going to garage sales and vacationing in Myrtle Beach with Kari. Rich was always happy and sharing a joke. He was a loving son, father, brother, brother-in-law and uncle. Richard is survived by his daughter, Kari (Eric Drain) Everett; brother, Joseph Everett; sister, Christine (Brian) Tucker and children: Katie (Michael) Wesley and Andrew Tucker; sister-in-law, Linda (Robert) Kiefer and children: Kellie Kiefer, Christopher (Holly) Kiefer and Jeffrey (Nicole) Kiefer; sister-in-law, Margie Babcock; brother-in-law, Randy Shue; many great-nieces and great-nephews and former wife, Kathy Everett Kovach. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law, Rex Babcock. Friends and family will be received at the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant Street, Maumee, Ohio on Friday, October 24, 2014 from 1:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Services will be held at the Funeral Home on Saturday, October 25, 2014 at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at Ft. Meigs Cemetery in Perrysburg.
