Richard Elwood Ellett, Sr., 89, of Toledo, passed away Monday, April 14, 2025

at his home. Dick was born June 11, 1935 in Maumee, Ohio to Elwood and Irene (Foote) Ellett. He married Barbara Hughes on November 28, 1959 in Toledo,Ohio and they shared 65 years together.

Richard worked for Libbey Glass for over 25 years. Richard will be remembered for his sweet, caring, and gentle personality. He will also be remembered for his love towards art and drawing, his loyal canine companion Ralph, and his great enthusiasm for nature and spending his days in his garden.

Along with his wife Barbara Ellett, Richard was surrounded by his loving children; Tammy Farringer, Richard (Sue) Ellett Jr; grandchildren Jolene (Nick), Amanda, J.J., Shelby, and Brittany (Nate); Great-grandchildren Paytan, Keilani, and MaKenna. Richard was preceded in death by his parents, and son-in-law Jerry Farringer.
