Richard F. Cooper, age 89 of Toledo passed away Wednesday November 20, 2013 in Ebeid Hospice, Sylvania. He was born November 14, 1924 in Toledo to Francis and Lucy Billings Cooper. A veteran of World War II Army, he served with the 70th Recon Rangers. Dick was a machinist first at Sun Tool and Machine and then retiring from Libbey Glass. He was a 63 year member of Conn-Weissenberger Post of the American Legion, a lifetime member of the NRA and a 60 year member of Calvary United Methodist Church. Preceded in death by his wife, Ardith, parents and sister Beulah Herold, he is survived by sons Gary Sharon, Terry Harriet and Keith Mary Cooper, 7 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-granddaughter; sister-in-law Marvel Joe Duerringer; and nieces and nephews. Friends will be received Sunday from 2-8 PM in the Walker Funeral Home 5155 Sylvania Ave. west of Corey where American Legion services will be held at 7 PM. Funeral services will be 10 AM Monday in the funeral home followed by interment at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park. The family suggests memorials to Ebeid Hospice 5200 Harroun Rd.
