Richard F. Buhrow, 90 of Graytown, passed away peacefully on Monday evening, April 28, 2014, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Perrysburg. Richard was born in Graytown, Ohio, on February 9, 1924, to Fred and Wilhelmina Buhrow. He was employed at Standard Products in Port Clinton for 34 years retiring in 1986. Richard served during WWII in the U.S. Army, deployed to Italy and France. He received the Combat Infantry Badge, the European African Middle Eastern Service Medal with 5 Bronze Stars and the Purple Heart Medal. Richard married Marjorie Lowe on October 9, 1948, and she preceded him in death on October 22, 1995. He was a member of St. Peters Lutheran Church in Martin, Ohio, a member of S.C.R.A.P., the D.A.V. and V.F.W. and the Buckeye Sheriffs Association of Ohio. He loved his family, loved gardening and playing horseshoes, and John Deere tractors. He will always be remembered by his laugh, and desire to make others laugh, his yellow shirt and green John Deere suspenders. He is survived by his loving daughter, Nancy Jaquillard Erwin Frohlich; his sisters, Jeanette Beshalske of Graytown and Evelyn Jones of San Mateo, California; his grandsons, Jamie Jaquillard of Toledo and Jeremy Jaquillard of Prairieville, Louisiana; and great grandsons, Austin Jaquillard and Ethan Jaquillard. His parents and wife, Marjorie, preceded him in death. Richard was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother. He will be missed by all who knew him. Friends may call the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, 501 West St., Genoa, Friday, May 2, 2014, from 4-8 p.m. The funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home Saturday, May 3, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Elliston Cemetery, Elliston.
