Richard A. Bugoci

Richard A. Bugoci, 86, died Tuesday evening, May 3, 2016, at his home in Oak Harbor. Richard was born November 12, 1929, in Cleveland, Ohio, to John and Helen (Nemes) Bugoci. On February 2, 1963, in West Jefferson, Ohio, he married Norma Cheeseman and she preceded him in death March 9, 2006. Richard was a graduate of the Ohio State University. He served in the U.S. Army and National Guard for 37 years and was a past member of the American Legion in Florida. Since 2000 Richard had been the business manager for St. Boniface Catholic Church in Oak Harbor, where he was a member, and had been a member of the Knights of Columbus. Golfing was one of Richards favorite pastimes. He is survived by his daughter, Linda (John) Birchmeier of Ashley, Ohio, grandchildren, Michael (Linnea) Birchmeier of Columbus, OH, Ashley (Mark) Bauer of Dublin, OH, and great grandchildren, Robert Birchmeier, Allen Birchmeier, Katelyn Bauer and Brendan Bauer . His parents and wife preceded him in death. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11:00 a.m., Friday, May 6, 2016, at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Oak Harbor, where the body will lie in state one hour prior to the services from 10:00-11:00 a.m. The Oak Harbor American Legion Post #114 and Oak Harbor V.F.W. Post #8732 will conduct military honors following the service. Interment will be in St. Francis Cemetery, Tiffin, OH.
