On May 27, 2021, Richard Callender Brown passed away at age 94. Dick was born on April 29, 1927 to Harold E. and Edna D. Brown in Toledo, Ohio. He graduated on the GI Bill from Bowling Green State University and later got an MBA from the University of Toledo. In 1951, he married Kathryn LaFluer. Dick was a World War 2 veteran and spent his career working for Chevrolet Motor Division, in Toledo, Adrian, MI and Parma, OH. Once he retired from Chevrolet, he started a second career working as the assistant to the Mayor of Strongsville, OH. Dick is preceded in death by his parents, his two sisters Barbara Blust and Mary Alice Staub and his precious son Brad. He is survived by his wife of 69 years Katie and his daughter Elizabeth Jones (Tim) and his daughter-in-law Sharon as well as grandchildren Sydney, Haley and Griffin Brown and Caroline and Bennett Jones. Friends and family will be received Tuesday, June 1, 2021 from 6-7 p.m. at Walker Funeral Home, 5155 W. Sylvania Ave, Toledo, Ohio 43623 (419-841-2422). A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, June 2, 2021 at 11 a.m. at Epworth United Methodist Church, 3077 Valleyview Drive, Ottawa, Hills, Ohio 43615 .
