Richard Boysen

Richard Dick Boysen, 80, of Oak Harbor, OH, passed away Wednesday, February 6, 2008 at Riverview Healthcare Campus, Oak Harbor, OH. Richard was born on April 9, 1927, in Oak Harbor, OH to Carl and Leona Regal Boysen. On June 30, 1973 in Buckeye Lake, OH he married Margaret Smith and she survives. Richard was employed at the Erie Army Depots Optical Shop during the 1950s. He also worked for the Newark Airforce Station in the measurement and calibration lab. Richard was a veteran in the U.S. Air Force from 1945-1947. He was raised in St. John Lutheran Church, Port Clinton. He was a member of the VFW Lodge # 1388 in Buckeye Lake, OH, the David A. Leonard Aerie #2295 and the Moose Lodge # 1610 both in Port Clinton, OH. Survivors include: Loving Wife of 34 Years: Margaret Boysen of Oak Harbor, OH; Son: Carl Rhonda Boysen of Hebron, OH; Grandsons: Justin Boysen and Garrett Boysen, both of Hebron, OH; Cousin: Ruth Gluth of Oak Harbor, OH. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Richard was preceded in death by: Parents; Brothers: Alvin and Lloyd Boysen; Sisters: Andrea Mackey and Agnes Schmitt. Visitation will be from 2-8 P.M., on Sunday, February 10, 2008 in the Gerner-Wolf-Walker Funeral Home, Port Clinton, OH. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 A.M., on Monday February 11, 2008 in the funeral home. Interment will be in Roose Cemetery, Oak Harbor, OH. Memorial contributions in memory of Richard may be made to the Bay Township Fire Department or Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
