Richard H. Bond, 75, of Holland, Ohio passed away on Friday, October 12, 2012. He was born on March 9, 1937 in Toledo, Ohio to Charles and Louise Bond. Richard was a graduate of Maumee Valley Country Day School, Capital University, and also received an MBA from Bowling Green State University. He served honorably in the U.S. Coast Guard. He married the love of his life, Suzanne, in 1963, and enjoyed 49 years together. In 1980 Richard founded Sales Link Inc. a manufacturers sales rep agency which he operated until his retirement in 2007. He was active in the Sylvania Rotary Club, serving a term as president. He was a member of Epworth United Methodist Church where he volunteered in many capacities. An avid golfer, he was a member of Stone Oak Country Club, and president of the Good Fellows golf group. He enjoyed spending time at Lakeside, Ohio, and his second home in Gulf Shores, Alabama, on the beach and on the links. He had a lifelong passion for playing and watching sports. He traveled the world with Suzanne, enjoying the experience of different cultures. Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife Suzanne Bond; children, Jennifer Steve Sampson, Janet John Bragg, Jason Michelle Bond; grandchildren, Julia, Jessica, Jacob, Matthew, Michael, Nathan, and Eliejah. Richard is also survived by his brother, Charles Bond of Akron, Ohio, and sister, Susan Kinsel of Holland, Ohio. Friends and family may visit the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 Sylvania Ave. west of Corey Rd. on Monday, October 15 from 2-8 pm. Funeral services will be held at Epworth United Methodist Church at 11 am on Tuesday, October 16. Memorial contributions in Richards name may be made to the Lakeside Chatauqua Foundation, 236 Walnut Street, Lakeside, Ohio 43440.
