Richard M. Barchick

Was carried to heaven by his guardian angel on Saturday, January 12, 2013. He was 83 years old. The son of Alexander and Anna Barchick, he is survived by Joan Fahrer his loving wife of 58 years and his greatest investments, his children David Kathy, Patty Allan Schissler, Mike Jan, Chuck Sue, and Joe Rochelle. He spent 31 years as General Manager, Vice-President and Partner of Charlies Dodge. He attributed the success of the business to the good people who worked with him. He will be remembered for giving away nearly 10, 000 Charlies T-shirts. During the Korean War he served with the Military Police. He will be deeply missed by his 13 diamonds; his grandchildren Lacey Ronny Schissler-Lambotte, Christopher Schissler, Katelyn Greg Gomach, Michael Angie, Brian Christine, Becky, Stephen, Matthew, Sarah, Jennifer, Daniel, Anne E and Oscar Barchick. Also by his great grandchildren Eleanor and Corinne Lambotte, Molly, Alexander, Thomas and Elizabeth Barchick. They are his diamonds in the rough. He is survived by his sister Kathleen Melvin Sulewski and he was preceded in death by his sister Corrine William Sr. Reineke. He believed in himself, his wife, education and he had a very strong belief in God. Dad, you will be forever loved and missed. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Little Flower Catholic Church, Olymphia Dr., Toledo, on Friday, January 18, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. The Reverend Father Ronald Olszewski will be the celebrant. Visitation will be held Thursday, January 17, from 2-8 PM at the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 Sylvania Ave. west of Corey. Interment will be private.
