Rhea Elizabeth Huling

Rhea Elizabeth Huling passed away in her home on July 27, 2023. She was born on March 10, 1950, in Sandusky, Ohio to Ray G. and Virginia L. Gilbert.

Rhea graduated from Clyde Senior High School in 1968. She attended Adrian College. Rhea married Edward N. Ashley in 1970 and they raised two children. Rhea worked part time while her children were growing up and then full time in the medical field as a receptionist and billing clerk. She also loved crafting in her spare time and made greeting cards for her family and friends. She enjoyed

camping, nature, and watching her grandchildren in their activities.

In addition to her parents, Rhea is predeceased by her brother David (Barbara) Gilbert of Mesa, Arizona.

Rhea is survived by her husband Ronald, who she married in 1999. She also is survived by her son Brian D. (Jessica) Ashley of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, and Susan E. (Randy) Crawford of Toledo, Ohio. She has five grandchildren who she

adored. She is survived by her sister Diane (Thomas) Vagt from Lennox, South Dakota, as well as two nephews and a niece.

Family and friends will be received from 4-6 P.M. for visitation at Walker Funeral Home (5155. W. Sylvania Ave.) on Thursday, August 3, 2023 with the funeral services immediately following at 6 P.M. Interment will follow in Toledo Memorial

Park at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Red Cross Foundation, Ohio Living Home Health and Hospice, or to the Toledo Botanical Gardens.
