Reynold Sharlow 97, joined his beloved wife of 73 years in eternal peace on June 9, 2015. He was born December 9, 1917 in Bono, Ohio to Otto Sharlow and Anna Cutcher. Reynold was well known for reminiscing about his early years growing up on Howard Farms, graduating from Clay High School in 1934, and proudly serving in the Coast Guard. He was a manager of Flag Brothers shoe store and retired from Lake Front Docks. He also lived by his own rules, defying all odds when he breezed through hip replacement surgery at 90. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Eleanor, and sister June Rozek. Surviving are his children, Paul (Diane), Carol (Bill) Krotzer, and brotherTed(Vivian). Grandchildren Brian Sharlow, Marie (Phil) Gluza, Katie (Pat) Mangold, and Scott (Michelle) Krotzer. Great grandchildren John, Jack, and Owen Sharlow; Payton, Samantha and Landon Gluza; and Tanner Krotzer. Canine companion Dash. Friends may call at the Hoeflinger-Bolander Funeral Home, 3500 Navarre Ave., Oregon, OH on Friday, June 12, 2015 beginning at 11:00am with services at 1:00pm. Interment, Lake Township Cemetery, Millbury, Ohio.
