Rebeccah "Becca" Leigh Williams

Rebeccah “Becca” Leigh Williams passed away on December 20, 2020 peacefully in her home, surrounded by her closest friends and family. Becca was born in August 1998 in Toledo, OH to Richard and Wendy Williams. She attended Monroe County ISD and adored her classmates, teachers and faculty. Her favorite things to do at school were reading News2You, cooking and hanging out after hours. The many things that Becca loved included: country music, especially Lady A, listening to Hamilton as she rode in her golf cart, “Cindy” to visit the llamas, taking trips to McDonald’s for her routine order of a chicken nugget kids meals with ranch, creating any and all kinds of crafts, asking strangers on the street if she could pet their dogs, and checking in on the ones she loved always leading with “How is your dog?” She spent many hours sitting at the dining room table completing 300 piece dog puzzles, dominating dozens of games of UNO and Candyland, and working on her scrapbook. Becca is survived by her parents, Richard and Wendy (Pugsley); siblings, Hannah and Jonah; grandparents, Bruce and Donna Pugsley; dearest friends, Lindsey, Mark, Elizabeth and Alex; many loving aunts, uncles and cousins; and her dogs, Sadie, Fitz, Baxter and Hazel. She is preceded in death by her grandparents, George and Janet Williams; and her beloved dog, Sammy. A special thank you is extended to the medical professionals at the University of Michigan Rogel Cancer Center for their remarkable care of Becca, especially Dr. K and Nurse Anna. Friends will be received on Monday, December 28, 2020 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM in Walker Funeral Home, 5155 W. Sylvania Ave, Toledo, OH 43623 (419-841-2422). Private funeral services will be held in Hope Lutheran Church, Toledo, OH with public livestreaming of the service available on Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at 11:00 AM. Please visit the tribute wall on Becca’s obituary page or by visiting the Hope Lutheran Church’s Facebook page to view. Burial will be private in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park. The family requests that those attending the visitation wear purple or cheetah print in honor of Rebeccah. Please use facial coverings and practice social distancing. Contributions may be made to Monroe County ISD and to support the therapy dog program at the University of Michigan in care of the Williams family.
