SMITH Rebecca Jane Rebecca Jane Smith, age 24, passed into the Lords arms with her loving family at her side on Wednesday, February 3, 2010 after a lifelong battle with Cystic Fibrosis. Becky was born September 18, 1985. She was a happy, fun loving young lady who was a major part of her large family. Her dogs, Lexie and Nellie, were always at her side. Becky attended Stautzenberger College where she studied to be a Veterinary Tech. and spent many hours volunteering at veterinary hospitals. She loved to travel and travel she did. Becky visited every state in the union, went on a cruise, and was always up for a vaction trip. She was truly a remarkable girl and a hero to her family. Her favorite song, Angels in Waiting has a new meaning, she waits no more. Becky made a difference in this world for many foster children who she had the pleasure of caring for. Her nurturing and loving ways were just what they needed. She spent hours rocking and playing with them and they were all very special to her- Markayla, Annabell, Destiny, Erika, and Egypt will miss her loving ways. Becky is survived by her parents, Jerry and Susan Smith; grandma Jane Cousino; brothers, Todd Christine, Tory, Jay Alicia, J.C., Joseph, and Manuel; sisters, Jenny Jeff, Tammy Melvin, Teara, Hanna, Shanaya; special sisters and friends, Toni and Kim. Her nieces and nephews will miss her, Maleah and T.J., Walker and Carson, Brooklyn, Tyler, Aeron, Leah, Noah, and Addison, and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. She will also be missed by close family friends, Sam R.N. at Interim Nursing, Jazlynn, Fernando, and Ben. She was preceded in death by Grandpa Cousino, Adam Newell, Grandma and Grandpa Brenner, Baby David, Sean, Josh, Excell, and other family members who will be waiting for her. Visitation will be Sunday from 1-9:00pm with a 6:00pm Rosary service at the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 Sylvania Ave. west of Corey Rd.. Services will begin on Monday at the funeral home with prayers at 9:15am followed by a 10:00am Memorial Mass at Little Flower Catholic Church, 5522 Dorr St. Toledo, OH. The Smiths would like to thank their wonderful family that stood behind us for the last month. Your visits, prayers, food and just being there for us made it possible for us to make it through, you are the best! We love all of you. Also, thank you to Hospice of Northwest Ohio and there beautiful staff, especially Bonnie, Thelma, Peggy, and Claudia.
