Raymond Francis Rioux

Raymond Francis Rioux, age 79, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away at his home on Sunday, April 24, 2016 surrounded by his loving family. He was born on August 31, 1936 in Norwich, CT to Joseph and Alpheda (Paradis) Rioux. Ray was the owner and operator of Rioux Siding. He was a member of the Maumee Elks, coached Maumee Little League and was a former member of the Valleywood Golf Club. Ray enjoyed gardening, golfing, bowling, racquetball and the Ohio State Buckeyes. He especially enjoyed spending time with his large family and the Sunday gatherings at his home. Ray is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Darlene; children, Joseph (Lisa); William (Felix); Michelle; Thomas (Patty) and Donald (Diana Shreve); step-children, Dianne (Rod) Swain; Jeff Putz; and Lisa (Craig) Willis; 18 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Also surviving are sisters, Jeannette Anderson,; Lorraine Martin and Mae Rioux. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Peter; brothers, Arthur; Richard; Robert; Donald; Paul Jack and Jean; and sisters, Eleanor and Lucy. Friends and family will be received at the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant Street, Maumee, Ohio on Saturday, April 30, 2016 from 2:00 PM until the time of services at 6:00 PM.
