Raymond L Navarro

Raymond L. Navarro age 74 of Maumee, Ohio passed away on Wednesday, November 16, 2016 in his home. Ray was born in Toledo, OH on November 26, 1941 to Antonio and Georgia Navarro. Raymond started as a Teamster for Interstate Trucking prior to becoming a business agent and trustee for the Teamsters local 20. Ray was a member of local 20 over 31years and was a rep for Central State Grievance Committee Fright Division and Ohio Conference of Teamsters Fright Grievance Committee. He was an Army veteran serving his country during the Korean War. He coached Little League baseball, football and was involved with Golden Gloves in Toledo. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren; golfing, exercise, boxing and the outdoors. Surviving is his loving wife of 54 years, Elvira Liz Navarro; daughter, Bobbie (Leon) Yeary; son, Scott (Donna) Navarro; 9 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are his siblings, Della (Bud) Morgan, Emma Jacobs, Bob (Dora) Navarro, Ramona (Joe) Sanchez and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Antonio Navarro. Family and friends will be received at the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant St., Maumee on Sunday, November 20, 2016 from 3-8 PM.
