Raymond Lusher, Jr.

June 25, 1934 — February 14, 2025

Raymond D. Lusher, Jr. passed away peacefully at his home in Perrysburg on February 14, 2025.


He was born June 25, 1934, in Toledo, Ohio and became a Perrysburg resident in 1942. Raymond was a 1953 graduate of Perrysburg High School and a 1957 graduate of Bowling Green State University. He taught industrial arts at Toledo Rogers High School for 32 years.


Raymond was a skilled carpenter and avid horticulturist, his specialty being orchids. He owned a ten-acre farm on Cross Creek Road in Wood County. Raymond was also a past member of Zoar Lutheran Church.


Deeply saddened are close friends, Annie (Lusher) McMillen, William Gladieux, Fred and Amy Vetter, Timothy Kazmaier and Gregory G. Smith. Ray was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond D. Lusher, Sr. and Freda Lusher, and cousins Robert F. Lusher, Kenneth G. Lusher and Larry L. Lusher.


Services for Raymond will be private, and he will be buried at Fort Meigs Cemetery beside his parents. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Witzler-Shank-Walker Funeral Home, Perrysburg (419-874-3133).
