Raymond W. Jankowski, age 83, of Toledo, Ohio, died on Wednesday, October 8, 2008 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio. He was born on October 15, 1924 in southern Michigan. Following graduation from Macomber High School, he worked at the Dura Corporation and later for Blue Cross Blue Shield. He married Mary Milano in 1945. Raymond was a member of Christ the King parish and the Alba Club. In earlier years he enjoyed fishing and hunting with his family. He also trained hunting dogs. He and his wife Mary loved to travel. They had gone to Europe and appreciated the beauty of the western United States. Ray is survived by his sons, Kenneth Pat Metcalf of Toledo and Jerry Karen of Swanton; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary and grandson, Nicholas. Friends and family may visit at the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 W. Sylvania Ave., west of Corey Rd. on Sunday from 3 to 8 pm. A Mass of the Resurrection will be held on Monday at 10 am at Christ the King, 4100 Harvest Lane, followed by interment at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
