Ray E. Robeson, age 85, of Perrysburg, died peacefully on January 12, 2011 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg with his family at his side. Ray was born on January 2 1926 to Carl and Florence Smith Robeson. He was a veteran of WWII, serving in the European Theatre with USN. Ray was on the first Honor Flight to Washington, DC from Northwest Ohio. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Perrysburg. Ray worked as a mechanic/operator with the Operating Engineers for most of his life, retiring in 1988. He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Edna Louise; sons, Michael L. and John S. Karen Robeson; 7 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. In addition to his parents, Ray was preceded in death by his son, Kenneth R. Robeson, a brother and three sisters. Family and friends may call at the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant Street, Maumee on, Sunday, January 16, 2011 from 3-8 pm, where funeral services will be held on Monday at 11:00 am with Rev. Jeff Woolum officiating. Interment will follow at Fort Meigs Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations in Rays honor to Hospice of Northwest Ohio of Perrysburg or First Baptist Church of Perrysburg.
