Raymond F. Machar, 79, passed away peacefully on November 4, 2022. Loving husband of Georgette (nee Ade); son of the late Louis & Genevieve (nee Kozlowski) Machar; brother of Father Jerome Machar O.C.S.O & the late Thomas (Christine) Machar; father of Daniel (Lisa Faye) Machar, Rachel (Robert) Krajnak & David (Lisa Kaye) Machar; grandfather of Jacob & Isaac Machar, Amanda (Dylan) & Joshua Ailiff, Dawson &

Madeline Machar; great grandfather of Ava.


He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church serving as a Eucharistic Minister; The Knights of Columbus serving as a Past Grand Knight & Past Faithful Navigator; Marblehead Keepers House Historical Society; and was a United States Navy veteran and member of AAFA.


A Celebration of Life memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 19, 2022 at 11 am with visitation 1 hour prior at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 822 Barclay Street, Marblehead, Ohio, with his brother, Fr. Jerome Machar, O.C.S.O., and Fr. Joseph Szybka concelebrating. A private burial will take place at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Ottawa County Holiday Bureau-Danbury Township,
