Randall Miller

Randall Lee Miller, 62, of Oak Harbor, OH passed away Sunday, March 12, 2023 at the Firelands Hospital under Stein Hospice care, Sandusky, OH. He was born on February 21, 1961 in Port Clinton, OH to Ralph E. and Hazel L. (Hoffman) Miller. Randy graduated from Oak Harbor High School in 1979. He worked at Beck Supply in Fremont, OH and JVS Garage Door in Port Clinton. He was a former member of the Portage Fire District Volunteer Fire Department. Randy battled Multiple Sclerosis for over 30 years, although he never complained about it. He did his own cleaning, cooking, and washing. Randy was always working in the garage, mowing lawn, working on equipment, lawn mowers or building things that would make his life a little easier. He lived on the family farm in Oak Harbor and enjoyed feeding the birds & chipmucks. Randy always looked forward to Tuesday nights when his nephew, R. Jay Finke, who would always come and help work on anything that Randy needed. Randy’s favorite thing was eating pizza on Thursday and Sunday nights with his best friends, Dan Jensen and Dan Peters.

Randy is survived by his sister, Barb J. (Gary) Finke, brother, Ronald L. (Michelle) Miller, many nieces, nephews, great nieces & nephews, and his “special brothers” Dan Jensen, Dan Peters, and Kevin Rutledge. He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant sister, Brenda Kay Miller.

Visitation for Randy will be 5-8 p.m., Thursday, March 16, 2023 at the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, 165 E. Water St., Oak Harbor, OH. The Portage Fire District will conduct a Last Call for Randy at 7:30 p.m. in the funeral home.   A Celebration of Life for Randy will be held 2:00 p.m., Sunday, March 19, 2023 at the Eagles Nest Hall, 210 Jefferson St., Oak Harbor, OH with food and fellowship. Interment will take place in Greenlawn Memory Gardens, Clyde, OH. Memorial contributions in Randy’s memory may be given to the Ottawa County Humane Society or contributions may be given to the family to help defray the cost of Randy’s funeral expenses.
