Ramon L. Brint

Ramon Ray Sr. Leroy Brint, age 86, passed away at his home on Dec. 9th, 2013 surrounded by his loved ones. He was fortunate to marry the love of his life, Theresa, and for 55 years they were inseparable. He lost his love this year in April. Ray Sr. attended Macomber High School learning the electrical trade. He was called to duty as a Navy electrician on a sea going tug stationed in Guam. Upon his return, he worked as a civil engineer on high profile jobs such as the Toledo Westgate Shopping Mall and The Toledo Express Airport. In 1970 with the encouragement of Theresa, he started and operated his own successful electrical business, Brint Electric in Sylvania, Ohio where they worked side by side through good and bad times. Together they helped grow the business that today is operated by Ray Jr. Ray loved his weekends at the lake with Theresa where he watched his children and later, grandchildren, swim, raft, ski, play Jarts and sit around talking with the family. As the leaves fell on his final season, he stayed longer cherishing his final memories. Ray was a humble man who took great pride in his family. He lived life with no regrets and wanted to always be surrounded by family, love and laughter. Ray was born to Leroy J. and Cleo Minnick Brint. He is survived by four daughters and two sons, Karen Chris Allison of Cridersville, OH, Alan Brint of Vista, CA, Rebecca David Ticker, Powell, OH, Ray Brint of Swanton, OH, Nan Lee Vantrease of Findlay, OH, Colleen Douglas Wittenmyer of Maumee, OH, fourteen loving grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and sister, Carolyn Haas. He was also preceded in death by a grandson. He is together once again with Theresa and they will be terribly missed, but the examples set and impressions left on our hearts will be carried on by the family. We have been blessed. Friends may visit the family on Friday from 2-4 6-8 PM at the Walker Funeral Home 5155 Sylvania Ave. west of Corey Rd where services will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday.
