Ralph K. Moore

Ralph Kenneth Moore age 82 of Monclova, OH went to be with Jesus at 12:10 AM on Wednesday, February 14, 2018 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg. His loving wife Betty of 56 years and his four daughters were at his side. Ralph was born in Toledo on March 26, 1935 to Kenneth Francis and Thelma Lucille (Meinka) Moore. Ralph graduated in 1953 from Libbey High School and served in the Army Reserves until 1960. Ralph was a Master finish carpenter with the help and a little push from his grandfather, August Meinka. He became the coordinator and instructor of the Carpenter Apprentice Program. He served in that position for almost 30 years, retiring in 1990. Retirement didnt last long. Ralph worked at Flight Safety at the Toledo Express Airport and was in charge of building maintenance for 10 more years before retiring a second time. Ralph loved Michigan like it was his second home. He loved to camp at Mackinaw Campground in Mackinaw City. Ralph also enjoyed traveling with Betty to Hawaii and cruising to Alaska. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Toledo and lifelong member of United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America Local 248. Surviving are his wife Betty; daughters, Denise (Thomas) Koch, Brenda Woo, Cheryl (Ron) Spieldenner and Sandra (Bob) Alder. Also surviving are 8 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. His parents preceded him in death. Family and friends may visit at the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant St., Maumee on Sunday, February 18, 2018 from 2-8 PM. Additional visitation will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church 4560 Glendale Ave., Toledo on Monday, February 19, 2018 from 10:00 AM until the time of services at 11:00 AM.
