Ralph H. Kurth, 82, of Point Place, died June 14, 2017 at Franciscan Care Center, Toledo. He was born December 30, 1934 in Toledo and graduated in 1952 from Sylvania Burnham High School. Ralph was employed for more than 34 years at Owens-Illinois as a lab technician. Skilled working with his hands, Ralph enjoyed tinkering in his garage, doing home renovation projects and spending time at his homes in Surf City, NC and Cocoa, FL. His passion, however, was boating. He and his wife were longtime members of Bayview and Middle Bass Yacht Clubs and made many boating excursions through the years. One of these trips was a two week passage from Toledo through the Erie Canal and inter-coastals to North Carolina and making the return trip later that year. Ralph is lovingly survived by his wife of 33 years, Marylou (Caldwell) Kurth; children, Terri Kurth (David Braciak) of Toledo, Connie Lancaster (David) of Lebanon, IN and Tim Kurth (Belinda) of Cheboygan, MI; step children, Steve Cummerow (Lisa) of Point Place, Betsy Cummerow (Kim Matthews) of Toledo; seven grandchildren; three great grandchildren; sister, Carolyn Hurst (Gerry) of Montana; and brother, Gary Kurth (Linda) of McClure. He was also preceded in death by his mother and father, Elvie and Ernest Kurth. Private services will be held at a later date. For memorial contributions in Ralphs name, please consider ProMedica Hospice or a charity of the donors choice.
