Ralph Paul Burdo

RALPH P. BURDO Ralph Burdo, age 70, of Toledo passed away on December 20, 2014 at home surrounded by his loving family. Ralph was born in Toledo on October 17, 1944 to Rolland & Florence (Chelminski) Burdo. A 1962 graduate of Macomber High School, Ralph started his family in Point Place, worked from 1962 to 1993 for Toledo Edison, starting in Toledo and then being transferred to Cleveland’s Centerior Energy, retiring in 1993. In 1995, he returned to Toledo to be with his daughters and began working for Directions Credit Union in their Accounting Department to present. He enjoyed spending time with his family, playing cards, games, fishing, going to amusement parks and especially vacationing with his grandchildren in Sanibel Island, Hilton Head Island, and Las Vegas. In his spare time, he thoroughly enjoyed going to the casino. A devoted father, grandfather, brother and friend he will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Surviving are his daughters, Dr. Gina (Dr. Raymond) Lopez; Dawn (David) Mason; Stacy (Jeffrey) Malicki; grandchildren, Christina, Kaylee and Ray Lopez; Jacob Mason; Preston and Payton Burdo-Malicki; sister, Audrey Malinowski and mother-in-law, Elizabeth “Betty” Hudecek. He was preceded in death by his parents, step-mother/aunt, Frances “Fifi” Burdo and father-in-law, Rudolf Hudecek. Friends and family will be received in the Neville Funeral Home, 7438 Airport Highway, Holland (419-865-8879) from 5-8 pm on Saturday, December 27 and again from 2-8 pm on Sunday, December 28, 2014. Rosary will be recited at 7 pm Sunday evening. Funeral services will begin in the funeral home on Monday, December 29, 2014 with prayers being recited at 9:15 am followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 5856 Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo.
