Ralph H. Buhro, 85, of Graytown, died early Wednesday morning September 22, 2010, in Mercy-St. Charles Hospital, Oregon, Ohio. Ralph was born March 24, 1925, in Graytown, Ohio, to Harmon and Freida Ninke Buhro and graduated from Salem-Oak Harbor High School in 1943. On October 23, 1948, in Elmore, Ohio, he married Suzanne Dittman and she survives. Ralph was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ in Elliston, where he served on the churchs council, was active in the Mens Brotherhood, and played dartball in the church league. He also bowled for many years in area leagues. Ralph retired as a timekeeper from the former Standard Products in Port Clinton. He was a lifetime farmer and a very active member of S.C.R.A.P., the Ottawa County Farm Bureau and the Ottawa County Farmers Union. In addition to his wife, Ralph is survived by his son, Jim Shirley Buhro of Graytown, grandchildren, Sam Tara Buhro, Chris Buhro, Brittany Troy Wittman, Bryan Buhro and Brianne Buhro, and great grandchildren, Alexis and Skylor Buhro. He is also survived by his sister, Ruth Lyle Blausey, brother-in-law, James Donna Dittman, and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and son and daughter-in-law, Ronald and Angie Buhro. The funeral service will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 25, 2010, in Trinity United Church of Christ, Elliston, with burial to follow in Elliston Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday, September 24, 2010, at Robinson-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, Oak Harbor. The family has suggested memorials for Ralph to Trinity United Church of Christ.
