Ralph D. Boling

Ralph D. Boling, 74, of Port Clinton, OH, passed away Friday, February 29, 2008 at the Stein Hospice Care Center, Sandusky, OH. He was born on December 28, 1933 in Nile, OH, the son of James W. and Gwendolyn Hodge Boling. Ralph worked as a laborer for Standard Products for over 40 years retiring in 1993. He also drove a fish truck for many years. Ralph was affiliated with the Church of Christ. He was a trustee and an active member of the David W. Leonard Aerie #2295, a member of the Homer D. Gardner Post #2480 and a past member of the Moose Lodge #1610. Ralph loved to fish. He will be greatly missed by his loving family and friends. Survivors include: Daughter: Joni Wayne Chaffin of Port Clinton, OH; Sons: David Leslie Boling of Shelton, WA and John Boling of Port Clinton, OH; Daughter: Lori Burt Johnson of Port Clinton, OH; Step-Daughters: Kim Terry Galway of Oak Harbor, OH and Jenny Lance Geldien of Elmore, OH; Grandchildren: Ryan Kristen Chaffin, Lisa David Luebcke, Jason, Christopher, Joshua, Joe, Emily, B.J., Payson, Max and Madi; 5 Great-Grandchildren; Brothers: Charles Boling of Seattle, WA and Eddie Boling of Naples, FL; Sister: Connie Tony Curry of Dayton, OH and Special Companion: Jane Hensley of Port Clinton, OH. Ralph was preceded in death by his former wife: Pat Boling, wives: Janice Boling Joan Boling, parents, brother: James Boling Jr., sisters: Elaine Nichols and Sandy Lee. Visitation will be 2-4 6-8PM, Monday, March 03, 2008 at Gerner-Wolf-Walker Funeral Home, Port Clinton, OH, with an Eagles service at 7:00PM. Funeral services will be conducted by Minister Gary Boling at 11:00AM, Tuesday, March 04, 2008 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery, Port Clinton, OH.
