Phyllis Jeanene Weber, 81 years old, of Woodville, went to join our Lord and Savior on Thursday, April 20, 2023 after a wonderful and blessed life. She was born on April 30, 1941 to Nina Morrison (Blevins) and William Grizzell in Kenova, West Virginia. She grew up in Brook Park, Ohio and attended school there. While attending Bowling Green State University she was introduced to her husband Roger Allen Weber by dear friend Judy Mercer. They were married on September 3, 1960.
Phyllis was a true Mom in many ways putting her children before herself. She was known for her homemade pizza in the community and was highlighted in a local publication with her recipe. She worked at Miglioris Little Italian Village and M & M Pharmacy in Woodville sharing her pizza making skills and greeting her community with a smile. She was an avid sewer and craft person and shared her knowledge by working at JoAnn Fabrics for many years. Later in life she worked as a Travel Agent for AAA and Central Travel, where she enjoyed many adventures with her sisters and friends.
She also enjoyed performing with Ronnie D & the Greasers at many area events especially at Woodville’s 4th of July Homecoming Celebration. She was an active member of Child Conservation League (CCL) as well as the local Card and Book Clubs. She was a member of Solomon Lutheran Church in Woodville.
Life wasn’t always fair to her as she navigated her way through many health issues but always came back stronger with her will to live. We lovingly called her the energizer bunny because she kept on going and going and going. Sadly, her batteries ran out and she has gone on to be with her many family members in heaven.
She is survived by Roger, her husband of 62 years and her children Wendy Chambers (Terry), Karyn Lambert (Mike) and Matthew Weber (Ruth). She is the grandmother to Ryan Stram (Amanda), Bret Stram (Shireen), Carley Lambert (Neil), Corey Lambert, Justin Weber, Nichole Weber (Kenneth) and Samantha Travis (Matthew). She is Great Grandmother to Jozie, Thea, Savanah, Willow, Roman and Maddie whom she adored. She is also survived by her sisters Pat Cathcart, Judy Titus and brother Bill Grizzell. She was proceeded in death by her parents, brother Bob Grizzell and sister Linda Groves.
Visitation for Phyllis will begin at 10:00 AM, Saturday, April 29th at Solomon Lutheran Church, 305 W. Main St., Woodville, Ohio, with the funeral service to follow at 11:00 AM. A luncheon will be held immediately following the service in the church fellowship hall. Burial will be private at a later date. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to Solomon Lutheran Church or the American Cancer Society. The Robinson-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory of Genoa, Ohio is assisting with arrangements. Online condolences may also be shared at www.walkerfuneralhomes.com.
