Phyllis I. Waggoner, 90, of Genoa and formerly of Toledo, died peacefully Sunday evening, October 16, 2016, at the Genoa Retirement Village. Phyllis was born March 7, 1926, in Toledo, Ohio, to Charles and Laura A. (Peeps) Bigley. She married her husband, Darrell E. Waggoner, on September 14, 1945, in Toledo, and he preceded her in death June 25, 1993. Phyllis was a homemaker and had been a member of St. Pauls Episcopal Church in Oregon. She did, however, work at the Toledo Academy of Medicine, the East Toledo Senior Center and for the Florida Institute of Technology. Phyllis loved working with crafts and playing Bingo. She is survived by her children: Judi (Steve) Floro of Genoa, Raymond (Sharon) Waggoner of Ocean Springs, Mississippi, Sharon Waggoner (Colleen Lewis) of Perrysburg, Darrell (Lisa) Waggoner and Laura (Mel) Hart both of Toledo, and Dave (Judy) Waggoner of Genoa; as well as many loving grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Chuck (Sis) Bigley and her daughter-in-law, Sue Waggoner. Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sons, Kenneth and Phillip Waggoner, granddaughter, Kim Ford, and siblings, Chloris, Raymond, Homer, Wallace, Paul and Louis. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, October 19, 2016, in the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home Crematory, 501 West St., Genoa. The funeral service will be conducted at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, October 20, 2016, at St. Johns United Church of Christ, 1213 Washington St., Genoa, with interment to follow in Restlawn Memorial Park, Perrysburg. The family has suggested memorials for Phyllis to go to the Genoa Retirement Village, 300 Cherry St., Genoa, OH 43430; or Hospice of Northwest Ohio, 30000 E. River Rd., Perrysburg, OH 43551.
