Phyllis A. Wade

Phyllis A. Wade age 92 passed away on Monday, December 19, 2022, at her home surrounded by her family. She was born in Toledo, OH on January 6, 1930, to Elmer and Grace (Doane) Ferguson.

Phyllis graduated from the University of Toledo with a bachelor’s degree in science. She was a member of Park Congregational United Church of Christ where she was active in Ruth Circle. Phyllis enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking, baking, sewing, and painting.

Surviving are her children, Marcia Heintschel and Kevin D. (Sara) Wade; grandchildren, Katie (Brian) Ezell, Julie Gorman and Alison Harle; Great-grandchildren, Trevor, Myles, Griffin, William and James. Also surviving is her special cousin, Donald Balthaser and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin and son-in-law, Paul Heintschel.

The family would like to thank Promedica Hospice and her caregivers, Judy, Shan, Sheilah and Vickie for the exceptional care our mother received in her last days.

A private interment took place at Ft. Meigs Cemetery in Perrysburg. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Park Congregational United Church of Christ, 1456 Harvard Blvd. Toledo, OH 43614. Memorial contributions may be made to the Church.
